Course Overview

Information systems is the field that deals with managing the hardware and software as well as other equipment used in computer systems. Since their inception, information systems have slowly but steadily taken over countless functions of our daily lives, and their role has reached the level where we cannot imagine living without them for a few hours. Information systems are incorporated in everything, from simple pocket calculators to space shuttles – more importantly though, they are the backbone of the global economy and have transformed our definition of business, communication and entertainment. The interdisciplinary field of information system combines the field of business management with information technology in order to give professionals all the tools required for success in the workplace.
